Does the new CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule apply to assisted living facilities in Florida?

Some people are saying the CMS EP rule applies to ALFs - true or false?
Answer:

The CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule does not apply to assisted living facilities in Florida. While it is true that individuals living in Florida's assisted living facilities may be Medicare or Medicaid beneficiaries, the assisted living facility itself is not a CMS Medicare or Medicaid Participating Provider or Supplier.
